In honor of Father’s Day I want to share some musings on “Dad”.
First of all, felicitations and Happy 2nd Father’s Day to my husband, George. Together for 16 years and still going strong. I could not imagine a better dad to our little girl. People often ask us how we live together, raise a child together and run two companies together.
Yup, I know what you’re thinking - that is A LOT of togetherness. For the most part it is pretty awesome. I get to go to work each day with my best friend…and we have a pact not to fire each other! Talk about job security! But it’s not all roses. We definitely know when the togetherness is too much. Those are great times to take a walk with Buttercup the Dog, go hang out in the backyard, meditate, whatever.
But overall, I couldn’t be happier. We both left big corporate jobs after many years and took the plunge starting a business together. Super scary at times but almost always fun. So, this Father’s Day, I honor my wonderful husband, George. Thank you for being a great dad, partner and husband. I love you.
And now, I want to share some of my favorite “Daddy Bloggers”: @DadOrAlive, @Redefining_Dad and @XplodingUnicorn. Focus is often on the “Mommy Bloggers” and I wanted to give a shout out to all the dads out there who are doing their best “dad-ing” each day while sharing the humor that comes with the job. These guys have a fun and lighthearted approach to raising their kids and I truly enjoy what they have to say. Read it, share it and have a smile. Happy Father’s Day!
We welcome your feedback and would love to know how we can continue to improve our hands-free pumping bra designs and make your "mom life" easier.
